ClimateKeys for Kids
With speaker, ecology teacher Nataša Sekulić

Original concert listing

Pancevo, Serbia

This ClimateKeys Concert (for elementary and secondary school kids) was full of activities. In 50 minutes we had: introduction + concert pieces (part 1) + a short introduction about climate changes, what causes them + concert pieces (part 2) + the audience making windmills + doing the questionnaires (on how we can save the energy) + climate change experiments during the whole event (melting the ice causes sea level rising, the CO2 causing the greenhouse effect and global warming)+ the final part (giving the audience a few tips on how we can save energy, avoid pollution, reduce CO2...). With almost 100 kids in the audience, we achieved two significant goals. The primary goal was to educate children about the importance of being aware of the environmental problems and how to reduce them. The other was that there were lots of kids who had their first encounter with classical music and it was good :)

Natasa Sekulic wrote on Facebook: `ClimateKeys!!! What a wonderful encounter of Science and Art! A beautiful night of youth, knowledge and craft! Thank you, Marija Ligeti Balint and your lovely students from Jovan Bandur Music School... Also thank you students of class III-3 (Katarina, Bojana and Marina) as well as the class III-6 (Viktorija, Sanja, Daliborka, Aleksandar and Marija) of "23. Maj" Technical School... I am very proud on all of you!!!`

Jovanka Vicentic: `I am happy to be a part of ClimateKeys. Totally new and wonderful experiences to me, also very useful because it is important to think, talk and do something for future generations. An unusual blend of music and ecology, good environment which made the audience think about climate changes, everyday local problems (plastic bags, biodiesel, heating..). Thanks to Lola`s idea we have this wonderful collaboration of Music and Technical Schools!`
